a² + 4a + 3
(a+3)(a+1) This is the length and the width of the rectangle.

Perimeter = length + length + width + width
P = (a+3) + (a+3) + (a+1) + (a+1)
P = a + a + a + a + 3 + 3 + 1 + 1
P = 4a + 6 + 2
P = 4a + 8

B) 4a + 8
