Judaism and Christianity were seen as threats to the empire cause they had one thing in common which was that they both rufused to participate in the worship of the Roman gods and make sacrifices to them.

Beliefs... Wow great question! The beliefs of the Ancient Rome people were really different because they only believed in what they believed in. And that was that.
