jake : 2 broken eggs out of 6 eggs....2/6 = 1/3....so 1/3 of his eggs are broken

sara has same fraction of broken eggs....1/3
she has a total of 18 eggs and 1/3 are broken...
1/3 of 18 = 1/3 * 18 = 18/3 = 6......she has 6 broken eggs

jake : 2 broken, 4 unbroken = 6 eggs
sara : 6 broken,12 unbroken = 18 eggs
both have 1/3 broken and 2/3 unbroken

2/6 is equal to ___ or x/18 All we need to do is multiply the numerator and denominator of jakes eggs by 3. 2*3/6*3=6/18
