Initial momentum = 0. Then 0 = 400kg * v + 10kg * 20m/s v = -0.05 m/s

Answer:

- 0.5 m/sec

Step-by-step explanation:

Is an inverse correlation.

1.- If the cannonball of 10 kg moves at a velocity of 20 m/sec.

2.- The cannon that weights much more, 400 kg, will move backwards.

3.- The inverse relationship is:

400 kg - 10 kg

x - 20 m/sec

4.- x = (20 m/sec) (10 kg) /400 kg = 0.5 m/sec

5.- But since moves backwards, the value is negative.
