I think you mean a Quinceañera, a 16th birthday party of a young Hispanic girl coming of age. This is a family and friends celebration, as much as a sweet 16 would be. But the difference is a Quinceañera is a Hispanic tradition, while anyone can have a sweet 16.
The main similarities are they both happen at 16, they're both to celebrate a young girl's coming of age for their birthday, and they both are surrounded by family and friends.
