When equilibrium within the body is maintained, homeostasis is said to occur. The human body maintains a steady internal environment for the proper functioning of the body. All the organ systems of the body work together to maintain homeostasis within the body. Homeostatic imbalance occurs when homeostasis within the body cannot be maintained and can lead to death.

i believe the liver helps in the digestive system which makes the biles. the gallbladder is the hollow sac that stores the biles made by the liver, which in turn send it through the bil ducts then the large intestine so it can be properly digested.
