When ethyl bromide is heated with alcoholic potash (alc.KOH), ethylene is formed. CH3Ch2Br + KOH → CH2=CH2 + KBr + H20 Ethyl Bromide alc. Potash ethylene potassium bromide water. Hope this helps! ;D
