answer- 10 months. work shown below----

juan equation......A=150m+2000
alex equation.......A=250m+1000

i plugged in the months 1 through 10 and got the answer 10 months. for both equations (as you can see below) plugging in 10 for m gets juan and alex both are at $3500.

Juan equation......A=150m+2000-------->A=150(10)+2000=3500
alex equation.......A=250m+1000------->A=250(10)+1000=3500
