I need some opinions!!!!!!

Government supported programs to help the needy have continued since Roosevelt's time. Examples would be the government programs that help local economies and programs that provide health care for children. These programs are expensive and cost the citizens money in the form of taxes. Do you think that the government should still continue to help people in need or should people have to take care of themselves? Explain your answer.

Well...... The government should continue to help people in need because it the nice thing to do because they are still citizens of America and deserve to be treated equally and correctly. :) that is my opinion :)

I don't agree that many should have to pay taxes for someone else's kid to have free healthcare. While this would be a nice idea and help children, what about the people who don't need healthcare and can't provide food for their children because they're being taxed heavily for someone else's children?
