the answer is less than because all you have to do is take away the - in -36 to get 36 and 36 is less than 45 so there is the answer. just tell me if you want another example

the absolute value of -36 would just be 36, so it would be less than 45, any number converted to absolute value is the positive version of that number, hope this helps
