Answer:

(x-2)²

Explanation:

Hello!

We can factor this by grouping.

Find two numbers that add up to -4, but multiply to 4.

The two possible numbers are -2 and -2.

Expand -4x to -2x and -2x, and factor by grouping the first two and last two terms.

Factor by Grouping

  • x² - 4x + 4
  • x² - 2x - 2x + 4
  • (x² - 2x)+(-2x + 4)
  • x(x - 2)-2(x - 2)
  • (x - 2)(x - 2)
  • (x-2)²

The factored form is (x-2)².

Hi Fancy Nancy :)

The answer is : A

Because when you factorize x² - 4x + 4 you will get ( x -2)(x-2). However, we dot have it exactly in the options given but they gave (x-2)² which is equal to (x-2)(x-2)
