spermatogenesis produces 4 sperms , while oogenesis producers 1 ova and 3 polar bodies which the ova absorbs later

Spermatogenesis produces
four gametes
, while
oogenesis produces one with two to three polar bodies left over. because oocytes contain not only genetic material but also mitochondria.
