Boys = 4/9
Girls = 5/9
Explanation:
You add the ratio parts to find what the fraction is over.
5 + 4 = 9
Then you just need to know which part is boys and which is girls.
Boys to Girls = 4:5
Therefore Boys = 4/9 and Girls = 5/9.
