y - 9 = 3(x - 4)
y - 9 = 3x - 12
y = 3x - 3

We have to write the equation in the slope-intercept form:
y = m x + b, where m is the slope and b is y - intercept of the graph.
We already know that m = 3 ( a slope ).
If the function contains the point ( 4 , 9 ) we will charge it into the equation:
9 = 3 * 4 + b
9 = 12 + b
b = 9 - 12
b = - 3
Answer:
The equation of the line in slope-intercept form is:
y = 3 x - 3
