The general equation of the function will be:


y=|x-h|+k

where (h,k) is the coordinates of the vertex

As shown the coordinates of the vertex is the point (0, -5)

So, h = 0, k = -5

Substitute with the values of (h) and (k)

So, the equation of the function will be:


y=|x|+(-5)
