Y>-2

there are 2 inequalities with x and y (just y in the 2nd one)

so the sol'n can be shown as a region of an x-y plot

first reorganize the first eqn:

4x+Y<2

y < -4x + 2

so it represents the region underneath the line y = -4x + 2

then for y>-2:

it the region above the horizontal line y = 2

combining the two, the soln is the trianglular region underneath y = -4x + 2 and above y = 2


2. x >= -3

it represent the region right of the vertical line x = -3 and including the line itself
