What are your thoughts on ONE of the two key strategic questions raised here?

First, should Allies have opened a second front by directly attacking through France in 1942 or 1943, as desire by the Russians?

Second, Were Allied options unnecessarily limited by the call for "unconditional surrender" made at Casablanca?
