2/5 times 4 is equal to blank miles because 2 times 4 is 8 and 8/5 reduces to 1 and 3/5 or 6/10.
3/10 times 2 would be 6/10 because it would be to and from home
add the two 1 6/10 + 6/10 = 1 12/10 which equals 2 and 2/10 or 1/5
Answer: 2 1/5 miles.
