Rate of Daniel - x:
4.95 (40 ÷ 9 + x) = 40
22 + 4.95x = 40
4.95x = 18
x = 40 ÷ 11
Time for Paul to gather 40 bushels:
= 40/(40 ÷ 11)
= 40(11 ÷ 40)
= 11
