(x+2)(2x-5)=56
2x^2-5x+4x-10=56
2x^2-x-10=56
2x^2-x-66=0
2x^2-12x+11x-66=0
2x(x-6)+11(x-6)=0
(2x+11)(x-6)=0, since x is a measurement x>0 so:
x=6cm
