Hi there,
There are 16 members in a math club such as 2 girls and 14 boys in a math club.
The ratio would be:
1:7
Divide both terms by 2.
2 ÷ 2 = 1
14 ÷ 2 = 7
Therefore:
2 : 14 =
1 : 7
