WILL GIVE 5 STARS TO THE PERSON WHO HELPS WITH AN EXPLANATION!!! The price of gasoline was $3.60 per gallon on Friday. By Monday the price had increased by 15%. What was the price of gas on Monday?

Basic stuff. Just multiply gas prices by 1.15. This means it is 1.15 times greater than previously. 3.6*1.15=4.14. If you just want to find the amount it had increased, you can multiply it by 0.15.
