To find out which one is greater, you must make it so that they both have the same denominator! :)
Our LCD is 120, because 6 goes into 120 20 times, and 20 goes into 120 6 times! :)
So, simply multiply each fraction by how many times it goes into 120 over how many times it goes into 120.
1 3/6 ~ 1 3/6 × 20/20 = 1 60/120
1 11/20 ~ 1 11/20 × 6/6 = 1 66/120
Compare the two fractions with one another.
1 60/120 and 1 66/120
Which one is greater? 1 66/120, because it is the larger number.
So, our answer is : 1 11/20 is greater than 1 3/6
