First, we're going to convert the mixed number into a/n improper fraction.
(4 × 8 ) + 4 = 36/8
Now we're going to divide 36/8 by 4/8 since 4/8 = 1 lap.
36 / 4 = 9.
That is how we get our answer, 9 laps.
Our final answer is 9 laps.
Hope this helps!~
