During operation, which half-reaction occurs at the cathode in each type of cell.

The half-cell reaction that would represent the cathode would be that which involves reduction in the oxidation reaction. This would always be the case. CAthode is the reduction reaction while anode is for the oxidation reaction. Hope this helps.
