Answer:

B) it helped scholars understand Egyptian hieroglyphics

Step-by-step explanation:

The Rosetta Stone, world first record of a translation guide. A stone found with an embedded writing in Egyptian and Greek language. It contains ancient hieroglyphic, together with Greek translation in a script.

The Rosetta Stone was found in 1799 by archeologist that were then able to understand a text issued at Memphis, Egypt, in 196 BC during the Ptolemaic dynasty by King Ptolemy V. The top and middle texts are in Ancient Egyptian using hieroglyphics , then Greek scripts, respectively, decode it to Ancient Greek. Rosetta's Stone proved to be the key to deciphering Egyptian hieroglyphs, thus opened a window for the first timeinto ancient Egyptian history.
