Find
a_(1) by plugging in 1 into n:

a_(1) = 98-2(1)=96

Find
a_{11 by plugging in 11 into n:

a_(11) = 98-2(11)

a_(1) =98-22=76

Now to find the sum your formula is:

S_(n) = (n)/(2) ( a_(1) + a_(n))

n = 11,   a_(1) = 96 ,  a_(11) =76

Now plug that into the formula

S_(11) = (11)/(2) (96+76)

S_(11) = 5.5(172)=946

Hope that helps
