2(n + 10) = -20.....ur equation
n + 10 = -20/2
n + 10 = -10
n = -10 - 10
n = -20....ur number

Let, the number = x
Then, 2(x + 10) = -20
2x + 20 = -20
2x = -20 - 20
x = -40/2
x = -20
In short, The number would be: -20
