( Im offering 50 points to answer this question) A ramp that is 20.0 feet long makes an angle of 12.5 degrees with the ground. What is the perpendicular distance from top of the ramp to the ground?

ramp forms a right-angled triangle w ground so that

sin(12.5deg) = perpendicular distance from top of ramp to ground / length of ramp

perpendicular distance from top of ramp to ground = sin (12.5) * 20

= 4.33 feet

SIN(12.5)=.216
.216*20=4.329


4.329 feet.
