4) A type of monologue in which a character speaks to himself and expresses his sincere feelings and thoughts.
The actual definition of
soliloquy
is "an act of speaking one's thoughts aloud when by oneself or regardless of any hearers, especially by a character in a play"
Though choice two is a great possibility the keyword you are looking for is "speaking to himself"
