It affected them in a bad way cause usually the women could stay home to watch and care for their children while their Father/Husband could make a living

It very negatively affected women and children. Instead of working in their nice cottage, women had to spend over 14 hours a day in a dirty and dangerous factory. Child labor was at an all-time high as they were smaller, thus could fit under machines and such. A very bad time all around.
