5x+10 = y
Subtract 10 from both sides.
5x = y - 10
Divide both sides by 5.
x = 1/5y - 2
Plugin 1/5y - 2 for the y.
5(1/5y - 2)
1 - 10 + 10 = y
1 = y
Your Answer(s)
y = 1
x = 1/5y - 2
