First calculate the individual cost for each item
Mangoes: $4 / 5 = .8$
Oranges: $10.5 / 3 = $3.5
Now multiple the individual cost by the amount of each item that was bought
Mangoes: 8 x .8 = $6.4
Oranges: 7 x 3.5 = $24.5
Total cost = $30.90
