What's equivalent fractions

Equivalent fractions are fractions that have the same value. 1/2 and 2/4 are equivalent fractions, because they both represent the same value (0.5 or half of something). Another example is 2/3 and 4/6, they are also the same value (around 0.66).

Make sense? Any questions?

You can make equivalent fractions by multiplying and dividing both the numerator and the denominator by the same number. NOTE- YOU ONLY MULTIPLY AND DIVIDE NOT ADD OR SUBTRACT! only divide when the top and the bottom is whole numbers
