My answer would be 3.3 pounds.
I got this by taking all the pounds he has bought, 9.9, and dividing it by 3 which equals 3.3

each friend would get 3.3 lbs of peanuts. this is because 3.4+2.5+4 =9.9 and 9.9 divided by 3 is 3.3
