if you put the formula into Y intercept form which is Y=M(slop)X + B(y int)

you will get
y = -1/2x + 2
B(y int) = 2
M(slope) = -1/2

plot (0,2) on graph then go down 1 left 2. put a point there repeat and connect dots.

Answer:

Graph is attached below

Explanation:

x + 2y \leq4

First we replace inequality sign by = sign

x+ 2y = 4

Subtract x on both sides

2y= -x+4

divide by 2 on both sides

y= -(1)/(2) x+2

Make a table for graphing, plug in some numbers for x and find out y

x y

-2 3

0 2

2 1

Now graph the table

For shading use test point (0,0)

x + 2y \leq4

0 + 0 \leq4 is true

So we shade the region that contains (0,0)

Which graph correctly represents x + 2y ≤ 4?-example-1
