Imagine you are applying for a travel grant to help you go to a Spanish-speaking country for an immersive learning experience, including cultural exploration. Choose any country where you want to have this experience. Write a short essay explaining the reasons for your choice of country. Discuss both the strengths (cultural heritage, places of interest, architecture, art, etc.) and limitations (accessibility, distance, etc.) of the place you choose. Draw comparisons with other Spanish-speaking countries to strengthen your case that the country you’ve chosen is the ideal country for learning about culture and language. End the essay with a conclusion statement that reiterates your argument. Please type your response in Spanish. (Note: There really are grant programs that help students do this type of immersive learning. Once you complete this assignment, consider finding a program and submitting your letter.)

Colombia or Venezuela are very good countries to learn good Spanish. Of course, Cuba, Bolivia, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Guatemala, and Nicaragua are all good places to learn Spanish and have a good experience. :)
