5(2x - 8) + 15 = -15

first, you would follow PEMDAS, so the parenthasis are first. Since you can't subtract 2x and 8, you would distribute to 5. This would make the problem 10x-45+-15. They you would add 45, so that the problem would become 10x=30. Finally, you would divide the entire problem by 10 so that you isolate the variable x=3
