Solve for y in 4x+y=11
4x + y = 11
y = 11 − 4x
Substitute
y = 11 - 4x
into
8x + 2y =13
22 = 13
Since
22 = 13
is not true, this is an inconsistent system.
So, no solution.
Hope this helped! :D
