Agriculture has one of the basic economies of China during the Shang Dynasty. Farmers cultivate crops near the Yellow River where rice is mostly produced. Another interesting industry during the dynasty is bronze casting. Bronze were used to mold different figurines and weapons that are essential to the defences of the empire.
