Rita had been on summer vacation for five weeks. The first few weeks had been great. She had gone on a trip with her friend’s family to Florida, and then her own family visited relatives who lived by a lake. Rita had enjoyed these trips. However, there were no more activities planned for the rest of the summer, and several of Rita’s friends were still on vacation. She watched television most of the time and counted the days until her friends would come back from their trips.
