Ice bridge in the Bering Strait
The settlement of America is the process of dispersion of the human species in the Americas. Scientific studies claim that human beings are not native to America, and it is clear that it was populated by humans from other places. The paleoanthropological evidence supports the hypothesis according to which the first settlers of America came from Siberia, the extreme northeast of Asia. From the point of view of the theory of late settlement, the Paleoamericans entered the continent during the last ice age, when the passage to the New World was possible through Beringia (Bering Strait )
