The coordinate of vertex M is (0,-6) and coordinate of point J is (0,-3).

Determine the dilation factor for the triangle.

\begin{gathered} k=-(6)/(-3) \\ =2 \end{gathered}

The coordinte of vertex N is (-6,6) and coordinate of vertex K is (-2,3).

Determine the dilation factor by using vertex K.

\begin{gathered} k=-(6)/(-2) \\ =3 \end{gathered}

or

\begin{gathered} k=(6)/(3) \\ =2 \end{gathered}

The dilation factor for the x-coordinate of vertex K is different from the dilation factor of triangle.

So triangle MNP is not a dilation of triangle JKL as vertices of triangle do not have same dilation factor.
