An art class is planning to paint a rectangular mural with an area of 60 square feet. It has to be at least 4 feet high but no more than 6 feet high. How long could it be if the length and width have to be whole numbers

the painting could be 5ft high and 12ft long, or it could be 4ft high and 15ft long, or it could also be 6ft high and 10 ft long

⇒ Area = 60 square feet

The measure of length > 4 feet

Also, The measure of height > 6 feet

Now, to find the required length and height in whole numbers in order to paint the complete area of 60 square units

⇒ Length = 5 feet

⇒ Height = 12 feet

Thus, Area = 12 × 5 = 60 = Area of the room which is to be painted.

Hence, Length = 5 feet and Height = 12 feet
