A tank contains 115 moles of neon gas. it has a pressure of 57 atm at at temperature of 45°C. calculate the volume of the tank

To determine the volume of the tank, we assume that neon is an ideal gas to be able to use the equation,
PV = nRT
Rearranging the equation will give us,
V = nRT/P
Substituting the known values,
V = (115 moles)(0.0821 L.atm/mol.K)(45 + 273.15 K) / (57 atm)
V = 52.7 L
Thus, the volume of the tank is approximately 52.7 L.
