The Northern Renaissance artists began to explore landscapes as seen from the Greco-Roman paintings. The whole point of Renaissance is to bring back the classics of Greece and Rome. Artists, including the famous Michaelangelo and Raphael were influenced by the humanism elements of the surviving classical artworks of the ancient era.
