Calcium contributes mostly to bone structure. Meaning when we have products high in calcium, such as milk, our bones and teeth get stronger.
I hope this Helps!

Answer:

Calcium is used in the formation of the skeletal system and muscle contraction.

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Calcium is required for the formation of bones, to allow for animals to have the structural support to move around. Once the skeletal system is formed and functional, osteoclasts (a type of bone cell that breaks down bone to release Ca²⁺ into the blood.

2. Calcium ions are the key factor for muscle contractions to take place, and without it, or if there is an imbalances in the calcium concentration, there can be severe consequences to the body.
