First, fine the area of the triangular shape. Since you can see that the length of the rectangular shape is 6 yards, you know that the base of the triangle is 3 yards. Next, you would multiply 3 yards times 5 yards, and divide by 2. So the area of the triangular shape would be 7.5 yards.

Next, you have to find the area of the rectangle. The formula is 4 yards times 6 yards, which would be 24 yards. If you add 7.5 to 24, you get 31.5 yards, which is your answer.

So basically what i do is 9-6 for the triangle which is 3.
So i do 5x3 which is 15 then i divide it by 2.
which i got 7.5.
then i did 6x4 and get 24.
Then i add those together and get 31.5yds
So 31.5yds is the answer
