2- 14, therefore it is D.

For the first one, you would do two thirds times six, which would be four. Two thirds would cancel out, leaving you with x - 2 on the other side. Next, you would add two to four, which would get you six on the other side. The two on the left would cancel out, leaving you with x = 6

For the second one, you just take the square root of 196, which would be 14.
