One difference between the pharynx and the larynx is that B. the pharynx is above the epiglottis and the larynx is below it.

The answer would most likely be

B:
the pharynx is above the epiglottis and the larynx is below it.

It can't be A because the larynx is what contains the vocal cords.

It can't be C either because the pharynx doesn't directly connect to the bronchi.

It can't also be D because air and food pass through the pharynx. Food does not pass through the larynx.

Below is a diagram showing where the pharynx and larynx is located. You'll see how the pharynx is above the larynx, with the epiglottis in between making B the correct answer.
